Brute's story isn't grand or heart warming. We purchased him from a family breeder as a puppy. We had never owned a Boxer and really didn't know what we were getting ourselves into. All we knew was that he was adorable and I wasn't leaving without him. We took a lot on right away, I was moving to the city to move in with my boyfriend and was leaving everyone behind. New job, new city, new life pretty much.
He was bonded to us right away, we tried to crate him at night for training purposes but wouldn't sleep in his crate without my fingers inside the crate to snuggle up to. He's been an absolute blessing to our lives. He helped me through the transition and I couldn't have gotten through this time without him.
When things got tough his kidney bean wiggles made me laugh and his snuggles were all the comfort I needed. I fell in love with the breed. They are such loving and energetic dogs. I made new friends at the dog park with him and boxers became a huge part of my life.
I found Boxer Rescue Ontario and when we bought our first home I knew we had the space to help a few boxers in need. He's been the best foster brother and is has welcomed our first foster with snuggles and even shares his toys. (He's just not a fan of sharing his momma) And that's his/our story.
